The Gentle Barn Foundation is home to hundreds of animals rescued from abuse, neglect and slaughter. Once the animals have healed and are ready, they help us give hope and inspiration to people with the same stories of abuse and neglect.
We host abused children, kids recovering from substance abuse, kids on probation, foster kids, and children and adults with mental, emotional, and physical challenges. Through the interaction with animals, they learn forgiveness, courage, strength, leadership skills, trust, empathy, and kindness. The healing that takes place when the kids get together with the animals is miraculous.

EMERGENCY FLOODING AT THE GENTLE BARN: A severe weather system brought torrential rains and damages to both The Gentle Barn Tennessee AND Missouri farmed animal sanctuaries last night.
Our TN location was in the direct line of a tornado and while it luckily missed us, we experienced massive downpours of rain and incredible levels of flooding like we've never seen before. The entire TN property flooded and the most damage was done to the main barn. Our MO sanctuary also got hit hard, with the most significant damage to the cow pasture, where wooden posts and concrete were ripped out, as well as flooding in the main house on the property, where our animal care staff lives.
The animals are all safe after our amazing animal care team relocated them to other parts of the barn. Now we're left to clean up, get their rooms back to normal, and get to work on the extensive water damage. We need to take care of this quickly as another storm is predicted for next week.
As a nonprofit, we rely on our community to support our work rescuing, rehabilitating, and housing animals with nowhere else to go for the rest of their lives. Please donate to help us protect the animals, clean up the damages, and rebuild after these severe storms

All animals appreciate a schedule to go by. For as long as my family has had animals, we've always formed a special schedule tuned to their needs. As a result, along with good food, our dogs and cats live to extremely old ages (18-20's).

I WOULD LIKE TO SAY SOMETHING. ! LIVING IN THE MIDFLE EAST I HAVE WITNESS MUCH ANIMAL CRUELTY !
